About the Iftar Donation: Set an Iftar Table from Austria
With an iftar donation you can share the blessings of Ramadan with families who cannot put food on the table to break their fast.

Example: one family, one Ramadan
Suppose a family of four living in Linz wants to donate as many iftar meals every day of Ramadan as there are people at their own table:
4 people × 3,50 € × 30 days = 420 €, which means iftar for 120 people.
A smaller budget also makes a meaningful contribution – for example an iftar for 20 people once a week (70 €).
The virtue of feeding a fasting person
A hadith states that whoever provides iftar for a fasting person earns the same reward as that person, without the fasting person's reward being diminished in the least (Tirmidhi, Sawm 82).
That is why the iftar donation is one of the most popular donations in Ramadan.
Where does your iftar donation go?
Iftar tables are set up during Ramadan in the regions where the need is greatest.
Priority is given to families, orphans and elderly people who struggle to get daily meals because of war, displacement and poverty.

Joint iftar donations at work, in the mosque or with the family
A mosque congregation in Vienna, a student group in Innsbruck or a company in Vorarlberg can set an iftar table together.
Example: if a group of 10 people collects 35 € each, the total of 350 € sets an iftar table for 100 people, and the iftar video is sent to the group.

How do I donate iftar online from Austria?
- 1. Choose an iftar for 3, 6, 20 or 100 people in the form above, or enter any amount you like.
- 2. Pay by Card / Online (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS) or PayPal.
- 3. Once the payment is confirmed, your donation receipt will be sent by email.
According to the Diyanet calendar, Ramadan 2027 begins on 8 February 2027. You can make your iftar donation before Ramadan too; donations become iftar tables throughout Ramadan.
With the donation basket you can combine your iftar donation with a Fitrah donation and a Ramadan food parcel in a single payment.
