About the School Supplies Donation: Open a Pupil's Way to School
A school supplies donation is one of the most tangible kinds of support you can give a child who wants to go to school but has no notebook, pen or school bag.
At Austria Yetim Eli we deliver a complete school kit to pupils in need in regions in need for 35 € per pupil.
What is in the school kit?
The kits are put together according to the pupil's grade level. The basic contents usually include:
- School bag
- Notebooks
- Pens and basic writing materials
- Other school materials needed for the grade
The kits are distributed at the start of the school term, so the child starts lessons fully equipped from day one.
Why is help with school supplies important?
In many families, school costs compete with the money for daily bread.
A child without supplies falls behind in class, feels ashamed and may drop out of school over time.
A small kit breaks the first link in this chain and becomes a reason to stay in education.
Example calculation: school supplies donation from Austria
- 1 pupil: 35 €
- For 3 siblings: 3 × 35 € = 105 €
- A class (20 pupils): 20 × 35 € = 700 €
Just choose the quantity in the form above and add it to your basket. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS or PayPal, and complete other projects in the same basket if you wish.
Can a school supplies donation be given as Sadaqah?
Yes. A school supplies donation can be given as general Sadaqah; because it opens a child's path to knowledge, its benefit lasts a long time.

If you want to direct your Zakat to pupils in need, first read who can receive Zakat; if in doubt, ask a religious scholar or imam.
Share your school shopping with a child
Every September in Vienna, Graz or Innsbruck, as we complete our children's school lists, remembering that another child has no notebook at all is a matter of responsibility.
Setting aside one kit for a pupil in need when you shop for your own child is also a concrete way to teach your child to share.
If you would like to make the donation in your child's name, you can write the name in the note field at the payment step.

After your donation
After your donation you receive a thank-you message by e-mail and, once the payment is confirmed, a donation receipt.
