Why is a Qur'an donation Sadaqah Jariyah?
As long as the Mushaf you donate is read, its benefit continues with every student who learns from it.
That is why gifting a Qur'an is counted among the examples of Sadaqah Jariyah, whose reward continues.

Example calculation: copies of the Qur'an for a Qur'an course
- 1 Mushaf (general): 3,50 €
- 10 Mushafs (general): 10 × 3,50 € = 35 €
- A course class of 30 students (Afghanistan): 30 × 5 € = 150 €

How do I donate a Qur'an from Austria?
- Choose the region and the number of copies, and add them to your basket.
- Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS or PayPal.
- You receive a thank-you message by e-mail and, once the payment is confirmed, a donation receipt.
If you would like to donate a Qur'an on behalf of your deceased loved ones or in the name of a relative, you can write the name in the note field at the payment step.
On what occasions is a Qur'an donated?
A Qur'an donation can be made at any time of the year, but some occasions carry special meaning for donors:
- In Ramadan and on Laylat al-Qadr, in honour of the month in which the Qur'an was revealed
- For the soul of a deceased loved one, so that the good deed continues
- To celebrate your child completing the Qur'an (hatim) or beginning to learn it, so that another child can read too
- With the intention of a sick person's recovery or the fulfilment of a wish
Whatever the occasion, every Mushaf you donate reaches a student in Afghanistan, and as long as it is read, the reward is recorded for you too, insha'Allah.
