Large Animal Qurbani Donation: Qurbani for Afghanistan by Proxy from Austria
With a large-animal Qurbani donation, you have a cow or similar large animal sacrificed in full; up to seven people can share in this animal.
The prices on this page are the price of the whole animal, not the price of a share.
Your donation on this page goes to the large-animal Qurbani organisation for Afghanistan; the meat is distributed to families in need in the region.
How many shares is a large-animal Qurbani divided into?
As Diyanet also states, large animals such as cattle and camels can be sacrificed jointly by up to seven people.
This way a family can combine the Qurbani of several people in one animal; a single person can also have the whole large animal sacrificed.

The price differences arise because animal prices and slaughter and distribution costs vary from region to region.
Example calculation: a seven-person share
Seven members of an extended family living in Innsbruck want to combine their Qurbani in a single large animal in Africa.
The large-animal price for Africa is 700 €. Divided into seven shares, that comes to 700 € ÷ 7 = 100 € per person.
One family member makes the donation; enter the names of the seven partners in the “on whose behalf” field and, if necessary, in the notes field at the payment step, or let us know via WhatsApp. This way the proxy is recorded for each partner.
How does it work?
- Donation: In the form above, enter the type of Qurbani, the quantity and on whose behalf it is to be performed; add the partners’ names in the notes field.
- Proxy: The Qurbani is performed in the names you entered, in accordance with Islamic rules. Details: Qurbani by proxy.
- Distribution: The meat is shared among families in need within Afghanistan.
- Video and receipt: The slaughter video is sent to you (via WhatsApp in Türkiye, by SMS in other regions); once payment is confirmed, the donation receipt arrives in your inbox.
Which types of Qurbani can be performed with a large animal?

Small animal or large animal?
For a single-person Qurbani, a small animal is more practical; for example, an Africa Qurbani donation is 100 €. If you want to offer a joint Qurbani as a family, a large animal is more suitable.
What share owners in a large animal should keep in mind
Each partner’s intention must be qurbah (drawing near to Allah); taking a share solely to obtain meat is not considered appropriate.
The number of partners must not exceed seven, and each partner’s name should be stated clearly with the donation.
The eve of Eid is 15 May 2027. Since large-animal slaughters are planned in advance, we recommend donating a few days before Eid.

A donor wants to combine his own wajib Qurbani and Shukr Qurbani on behalf of his family in a single animal.
In Asia, a whole large animal costs 1.050 €. Different names and intentions can be given for up to seven partners; everything is completed with one payment.
