Palestine Qurbani Donation: The Meat Arrives Canned and Frozen
A Palestine Qurbani donation requires different logistics from other regions: the Qurbani meat is preserved and then delivered to families in Palestine.
The Qurbani price is 250 €. The meat is transported to the region canned or frozen and distributed to those in need.
Why does Qurbani work differently in Palestine?
In Palestine, sourcing animals, slaughtering them and safely distributing fresh meat is often impossible because of the war.
For this reason, depending on access conditions, the animals are slaughtered outside the region and the meat is processed; it is then delivered to Palestine through aid channels.
Because canned meat keeps for a long time, it also supports families in the weeks after Eid.
UNICEF Palestine publishes up-to-date information on the humanitarian situation in the region.
Why does it cost 250 €?
The price covers not only the animal but also the costs of processing and packaging the meat, the cold chain and long-distance transport.
This is why a Palestine Qurbani costs more than Qurbani slaughtered on site, such as a Qurbani in Africa or a Qurbani in Yemen.
How to donate
- In the form above, enter the type of Qurbani, the quantity and on whose behalf it is to be performed.
- Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, EPS or PayPal; once confirmed, your donation receipt arrives by e-mail.
- The Qurbani is performed under your proxy, and the meat is processed and delivered to Palestine.
We explain the religious basis of proxy in our article Qurbani by proxy.
Example calculation: two Qurbani from Vorarlberg
A couple living in Dornbirn want to give their two wajib Qurbani for Palestine.
Total: 2 × 250 € = 500 €. A separate name is entered for each Qurbani, and everything is completed with one payment.
You can find out who must offer Qurbani in our article Who must offer Qurbani?, and read about the other types in our guide Nadhr, Aqiqah and Shukr Qurbani.
Support for Palestine beyond Qurbani
Together with your Qurbani, you can also add a Palestine emergency aid, hot meal or water tanker donation to your basket.
When should you donate?
Because processing the meat and transporting it to Palestine involves a long logistics chain, planning early is important for Palestine Qurbani.
The eve of Eid is 15 May 2027. We recommend donating in the first weeks of May.
The meat can be distributed not on the days of Eid but after it has been processed and dispatched; your Qurbani itself, however, is performed under your proxy on the days of Eid.
Vienna, Innsbruck or Linz — it makes no difference: from anywhere in Austria you can donate in a few minutes by card, EPS or PayPal.
The value of Qurbani meat in Palestine
For a long time, families in Palestine have had to live largely on flour, canned food and dry goods.
Processed Qurbani meat helps close the protein gap, especially for children and breastfeeding mothers. Thanks to its long shelf life, families can eat the meat as they need it.
Wajib Qurbani is performed during Eid, 16–19 May 2027. For all regions, see Qurbani projects; for the general process, see Qurbani donation from Austria 2027.
