About Orphan Sponsorship: Stand by an Orphan from Austria
Orphan sponsorship means regularly supporting the basic needs of a child who has lost their family every month.
At Austria Yetim Eli, the monthly sponsorship for an orphan is 50 €.
Why should orphan sponsorship be regular?
A child's needs for food, clothing, school and health come round every month.
One-off help saves the day; regular sponsorship, however, allows the child and their family to plan for the future.
The Prophet (pbuh) gave the glad tidings that whoever cares for an orphan will be close to him in Paradise (Bukhari, Talaq 25).
What does 50 € a month contribute to?
The sponsorship donation is used as a contribution to the basic needs of the orphaned child and the family caring for them:
- Nutrition: access to regular, healthy food
- Education: school costs and school supplies
- Clothing: seasonal clothes and shoes
- Health: basic health needs
This gives the child the chance to grow up without having to leave school and go to work.
Who can sponsor an orphan?
Anyone who wants to do good regularly every month: individuals, families, groups of friends or mosque congregations.
Example scenario: A group of five friends in Graz can jointly take on an orphan's monthly sponsorship, with each person setting aside 10 € a month.

Example: By setting aside about 1,65 € a day (50 € ÷ 30 days), you can cover an orphan's monthly support.
If you choose the yearly payment, 600 € covers every month of a whole year in advance.
Monthly, 6 months or yearly?
- 1 month (50 €): for those who want to try sponsorship or prefer to donate separately each month.
- 6 months (300 €): for uninterrupted support throughout a school term.
- Yearly (600 €): for those who want to plan the whole year with a single payment, for example when the year-end bonus (Christmas bonus) is paid.
Whichever period you choose, you will receive a separate receipt for each payment.
